Learn about the Holocaust and World War II while visiting key sites in Poland!
Earn credit for your Jewish Studies minor while studying World War II in a location that was one of the most important in the war--Poland. HIS 491 "World War II and the Holocaust in Eastern Europe" gives students the opportunity to learn about the Eastern Front and in particular the fate of the Jews and others targeted in the Holocaust. The course also includes a group visit to the notorious Auschwitz-Birkenau death camps. Because this program is faculty organized, they can pass on administrative savings to you in an affordable, high-quality program. Holocaust Scholarship

Interested in traveling to Europe to learn more about the Holocaust this summer?  The College of Arts and Sciences is pleased to offer the Leon and Evelyn Zolondek Caller Award for Holocaust Studies. Students who have a major in the College of Arts and Sciences are eligible to apply for up to $2500 to support summer  travel/study to Europe. Learn about Jews, Christians, and Muslims in Barcelona, Spain 2015!
Earn credit for your Jewish Studies minor while learning about a long-standing Jewish community in one of the most beautiful cities in Europe! HIS 490 "Jews, Christians, and Muslims in Spain" will address Spain's history of tolerance and the present-day interactions of these three religions. The KIIS Barcelona program includes Jewish Studies faculty member Gretchen Starr-LeBeau teaching this course, plus numerous excursions to important sites in the history of Jewish Barcelona.
