Abstract | :
Traumatic injury is a significant public health problem and the leading cause of death under age 44 in the United States. Federal investment in research funding is needed to address this issue and minimize death and disability. This report seeks to lay out a strategy for the development and implementation of a National Trauma Research Action Plan as described in the 2016 report by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) entitled, Integrating Military and Civilian Trauma Systems to Achieve Zero Preventable Deaths after Injury. |
