The Jewish Studies Program at the University of Kentucky offers students the opportunity to study ancient and modern Judaic cultures from an interdisciplinary perspective. Our courses range from “Hebrew Bible” to “Holocaust Film,” from “The Jewishness of Jesus” to “Jewish Foodways,” and our affiliated faculty draws from the Department of History; the Department of Modern & Classical Languages, Literatures, and Cultures; from the Department of Visual Studies; from Honors; and from Writing, Rhetoric, and Digital Studies. We offer classes each semester and also offer an 18-credit minor.
We also sponsor an event series which features films, lectures, workshops, and discussions. We offer a range of scholarships and education abroad opportunities.
