Location and times: Keynote lecture Thursday April 12, 7:30 pm at the Boone Center, sessions Fri. April 13 8:30am-4:00 pm Friday at the Ballroom of the UK Helen G. King Alumni House, 400 Rose Street.
In celebration of the establishment of the Jewish Heritage Fund for Excellence Jewish Kentucky Oral History Collection, co-researhers Dr. Janice W. Fernheimer and Dr. Beth Goldstein are co-convening a national Symposium on April 12-13, 2018. The Symposium will focus on Kentucky Jewish History contextualized in the larger histories of Jews in the South. Registration for lunch on Fri. April 13, 2018 has closed. Attendance is still FREE and OPEN to the public.
*Note, lunch and registration are free for all participants who registered by April 3. If you didn't register in time, don't fret you're still welcome to attend and bring your own lunch!
Parking:
Thurs. April 12, Parking is available in the Boone Center and W.T. Young Library lots on Columbia Avenue.
Fri. April 13, Parking will be available on a first-come basis for Symposium attendees from outside UK at the Linden Walk lot (south side of Linden), between Avenue of Champions and Rose Lane. An officer will monitor parking from early morning to 1pm and direct guests to the nearby Alumni House.
